Breathwork Training: Professional Certification Pathways at a Glance
Start your journey with a trauma-informed, GPBA-accredited breathwork training. Whether you are looking for foundational skills or a senior teaching qualification, our stackable pathways are designed for accessibility, clinical safety, professional integrity and deep learning in a supportive community.
A Grounded Approach to Breathwork Training
Choosing where to train is a significant commitment, and we believe the best learning happens when the training works for you, not the other way around. It’s so important that the online breathwork training you choose can support your specific intentions, your pace, and your life.
At Breathing Space, we’ve moved away from the traditional "guru" model because we want you to be the authority in your own practice. Whether you choose the collective energy of a group or the tailored focus of an apprenticeship, our pathways are designed to meet your needs and your life.
Our goal is to provide a container that respects your own wisdom and choices, empowering you to build a professional practice that feels honest, sustainable, and entirely your own.
Breathwork Coach
(50 Hours)
This 12-week online programme breaks down the science of the nervous system and shows you exactly how to use foundational breathing techniques. It is a solid starting point if you are simply interested in breathwork, but it is also designed for yoga teachers, therapists, or any wellness professionals wanting to add breathwork to their current practice in a trauma-sensitive way.
Learning online doesn’t mean learning alone. You will step straight into our active online community, giving you access to live masterclasses, real-time support, and connection with other practitioners.
We do not cover Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) in this pathway. Instead, we focus on the practical tools you need to help clients manage stress and regulate their nervous systems, without going into deep somatic processing. Crucially, the programme offers a clear route to becoming a GPBA-certified Ethically Compliant Breathworker, so you can build a practice grounded in safety, integrity, and professional responsibility.
Breathwork Facilitator Training
(400 Hours)
The 400-hour Breathwork Facilitator training is our core professional certification and a GPBA-accredited programme for dedicated space-holders. While it deeply explores the science and art of Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB), the focus extends far beyond a single technique.
At its core, this training is about mastering the art of holding space. You will learn how to facilitate any environment safely and confidently, whether you are guiding a deep CCB session, helping a client navigate a powerful emotional release, or simply holding a steady, grounded presence for a group. We focus on giving you the real-world skills to be with whatever arises, helping you build a sustainable, ethical, and heart-led practice.
Available through group online training or an apprenticeship pathway, the experience is designed to be deeply personal. Even though the learning is digital, the journey is rooted in real human connection. You will be part of an active, living network that supports your own growth just as you learn how to support others.
Breathwork Teacher Training
(800 Hours)
The 800-hour Breathwork Teacher training is for breathwork practitioners who are ready to step into leadership and mentor the next generation of space-holders.
This pathway brings together our Breathwork Coach and Breathwork Facilitator certifications. It is fully stackable, meaning you can build on the training you have already completed, taking the next steps at a pace that works for you.
Instead of just focusing on how to facilitate breathwork sessions, this training focuses on the practical reality of teaching. We cover the core skills you need to provide advanced mentorship, and safely hold space for adult learners.
By the end of the programme, you will have the tools and confidence to create and run your own training courses, or even lead a school under the Breathing Space banner. It is a grounded, practical route for those who want to share this work with integrity, care, and a strong ethical foundation.
Breathwork Therapist Training
(1000 Hours)
Our 1000-hour Breathwork Therapist programme represents a clinical-grade pathway for those who wish to work within a deep, person-centred therapeutic framework. This training focuses on the art of therapeutic inquiry and the long-term somatic integration of the breath.
It is designed to move beyond the single session, fostering a sustained therapeutic relationship that supports the nervous system and restores balance across the physical, physiological, and emotional systems. By blending functional breathing patterns with a trauma-informed mind-body approach, this pathway aims to help individuals navigate complex health challenges and improve their day-to-day quality of life through a grounded, integrative lens.
Continued Professional Development (CPD) Courses for Breathwork Professionals
At Breathing Space, we believe that learning doesn’t end with your initial certification; it’s a lifelong commitment to your craft and the people you support. In a field as deep and evolving as breathwork, staying current with the latest nervous system research and trauma-informed practices is essential for working safely and ethically. We offer a variety of accredited CPD courses and specialisms to help you broaden your skills, refine your professional boundaries, and maintain the high standards that your community deserves. These programmes provide a grounded way to deepen your practice, ensuring you continue to lead with integrity, confidence, and care.
What is a Stackable Pathway?
Building a professional practice takes time, and we believe your training should grow alongside you. Our stackable model means exactly what it sounds like: each certification builds directly on top of the one before it.
Every time you step up to a new tier, you get full credit for the training you have already completed. Each level encompasses the knowledge of the levels below it, allowing you to slowly work your way up without ever having to repeat foundational steps.
Here are some ways this supports you and your career:
Pace Your Learning: You do not have to commit to an 800-hour path from day one. You can start with a foundational course, take time to practice and integrate what you have learned, and then step up to the next level whenever you feel ready.
Financial Accessibility: Breaking your education into stages makes the journey much more manageable. You can spread the investment out over time, only paying for the next step when you are actually ready to take it.
Immediate Application: Because each level provides a complete, standalone certification, you can start working with clients safely and ethically as a Breathwork Coach while you continue your broader studies to become a Facilitator or Teacher.
