Effective Date: 18 July 2025
Breathing Space is a community rooted in care, consent, and connection. This Code of Conduct outlines how we create safe and respectful learning environments—for ourselves and each other.

Participants agree to:
Honour confidentiality: what is shared in our spaces stays in our spaces
Respect boundaries, both spoken and unspoken
Engage with consent, clarity, and curiosity
Show respect for all identities, experiences, and communication styles
Avoid giving unsolicited advice or making assumptions about others’ journeys
Uphold financial integrity (e.g. completing payment plans, honouring agreements)
Commit to your own scope of practice: knowing your limits and staying within them
Avoid romantic or sexual relationships within learning spaces (including between students and facilitators)
What’s Not OK
Behaviours that harm the safety of our spaces include:
Hate speech, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
Unwanted advice, judgement, or dismissiveness
Disruption of learning spaces or ignoring agreed boundaries
Using course spaces for self-promotion, sales, or recruiting
What Happens if This Code is Violated
We approach all concerns through a restorative justice and conflict resolution lens, inspired by the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance (GPBA) framework.
Our process may include:
A confidential discussion
An invitation for reflection and responsibility
Restorative actions, mediation, or written agreements
In serious or repeated cases: removal from a course or community space, without refund
We take harm seriously and are committed to compassionately holding people accountable when needed.
Accessibility & Reasonable Adjustments Policy
Effective Date: 18 July 2025
We want breathwork to be accessible to everyone. That means acknowledging the diversity of how people learn, communicate, and engage—and making space for it.
If you have access needs, are neurodivergent, disabled, or simply require things to be done a bit differently, we welcome your voice and will always do our best to meet you where you are.
What We Offer
Captions and transcripts where possible
Flexible learning formats, including audio, text, and visual resources
Trauma-informed design to support nervous system safety
Multiple ways to participate, reflect, and complete tasks (no one-size-fits-all)
A culture of asking, not assuming
Requesting Adjustments
We invite anyone who needs adjustments—big or small—to contact us at breathe@makesomebreathingspace.com or speak to us privately in your course space.
You’re welcome to share:
What helps you learn best
What doesn’t work for you
Anything you’d like us to be aware of in supporting your access
You don’t need a diagnosis to request support. Your experience is valid.
