Whether you’re joining a retreat, taking a course, or exploring breathwork for the first time, we want you to feel safe, informed, and supported.
Below you’ll find our core policies. Each one explains how we work, how we protect your information, and how we hold ourselves—and our community—to high professional and ethical standards.

Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. We’re committed to handling your data respectfully, transparently, and in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
This policy explains what personal data we collect (such as your name, email address and course participation details), how we use it to deliver our services, and your rights to access, correct or delete it. Payment information is securely processed by Stripe—we never store your card details.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
While we do not offer refunds, we work with compassion and flexibility when circumstances change.
Where possible we can transfer your booking or credit your payment toward another course or future offering.

Safeguarding Policy
We are committed to providing safe, respectful and supportive spaces.
Although our work is designed for adult learners, we recognise that participants may disclose vulnerability, trauma or distress.
This policy sets out how we protect participants, staff and facilitators from harm; the role of our Safeguarding Lead; what we consider a safeguarding concern; and the steps we take—from listening and assessing risk to signposting and, when necessary, escalating to external services.

Participant Code of Conduct
Our community is rooted in care, consent and connection.
Participants agree to uphold confidentiality, respect all identities and communication styles, engage with consent and avoid harm, discrimination or disruptive behaviour.
We approach any concerns through a restorative justice lens and may remove participants when safety requires it.

Breathing Space Code of Conduct
This code outlines the professional and ethical standards expected of all Breathing Space facilitators, staff and trainees.
It covers consent, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, scope of practice and public representation, ensuring that our learning spaces remain safe, inclusive and trauma-informed.

Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Policy
We actively work to remove barriers so breathwork is accessible and welcoming to all.
This policy describes how we design our programmes for inclusion—offering bursaries, flexible formats and trauma-informed design—and how we listen and adapt when feedback shows where we can do better.

Reasonable Adjustments Policy
Everyone engages with learning differently.
We build flexibility into our programmes and invite requests for further adjustments—such as extra time, alternative formats or a temporary pause in participation—without requiring disclosure of a diagnosis.

Ethics & Professional Standards
Our work is grounded in ethics, empathy and empowerment.
We follow the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance (GPBA) Code of Ethics and our own guiding values: empowerment, connection, community, opportunity, and accessibility.
We clearly define scope of practice, provide informed consent and safety agreements, and expect all facilitators to engage in ongoing professional development.

Malpractice & Ethical Breaches Policy
This policy explains how we respond to misconduct or ethical concerns—whether by staff, facilitators, trainees or community members.
It provides examples of breaches (such as misuse of power, financial misconduct or breaking confidentiality) and describes the compassionate, trauma-aware process we follow to investigate and resolve concerns, often in consultation with the GPBA.

Our communications reflect the same care and integrity we bring to our breathwork spaces.
We avoid fear-based or manipulative tactics, make no exaggerated claims, and ensure that all promotions, prices and payment plans are transparent and inclusive.
